ZachXBT Ranks ’Bottom 5’ Jurisdictions for Crypto Scam Victims, Sparking Debate
Crypto investigator and Paradigm advisor ZachXBT has ignited controversy with his ranking of the "bottom 5 jurisdictions" for victims seeking to recover stolen crypto funds. The list, shared on his 84.7k-subscriber Telegram channel, singles out Nigeria, India, Canada, the UK, and Russia as nations where legal systems allegedly fail to advance scam cases.
"If you contact me from them I will likely have to decline formally assisting due to stagnant legal cases," ZachXBT stated, suggesting victims in these countries face systemic hurdles. The UK and Canada drew particular scrutiny, with the investigator asserting they're "where cases go to die."
The ranking triggered heated discussions across social media, with some users challenging Nigeria's inclusion. ZachXBT later countered with a "top 5" list featuring the Netherlands and US as more effective jurisdictions for victim recourse.
